About the Department 

The M.Sc. program in Physics is a full time one year/two year programme that builds upon the fundamental knowledge acquired at the undergraduate level, offering specialized courses and research opportunities in areas such as Electronics and Astrophysics. It provides a solid foundation in classical and modern physics concepts, focusing on theoretical principles and practical applications. Our dedicated faculty members, with their extensive expertise and research contributions, provide a nurturing environment for students to excel academically and develop critical thinking skills. Programme Outcome

  1. Gain a comprehensive understanding of advanced topics in theoretical and experimental physics.
  2. Develop critical thinking skills to analyze complex physical systems, evaluate theories and models, and draw logical conclusions based on evidence and data.
  3. Acquire the ability to design and conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, and draw conclusions from research findings.

4.Develop advanced problem-solving skills to tackle complex problems in physics using mathematical and computational tools.

  1. Gain experience working in collaborative research environments, where students learn to collaborate with peers, professors, and industry professionals to tackle challenging physics problems.

6.Prepare students for further academic pursuits, such as pursuing a PhD. in Physics, or for entering various career paths in academia, research institutions, government agencies, industries, or technology sectors.
